A sequel series to Quantum Leap (1989), which told the story of physicist Dr. Sam Beckett, a scientist who found himself trapped in time after a botched government time travel experiment run by the military, which forced him to leap from body to body and into different peoples lives sorting out their problems and hoping to return home. The new Quantum Leap sequel takes place 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett disappeared into the Quantum Leap accelerator and never returned.
